Description

This is a microlot selection of heirloom typica beans from the Miraflores estate in the Lonya Grande district of northern Peru. The cherries are carefully slow dried over a period of 15 days on raised platforms.

Peru is a hidden gem in the specialty coffee world – largely going unnoticed. But the Lonya Grande district has steadily built a reputation for growing high quality heirloom coffees. We were excited when we discovered these beans and they did not disappoint. Lush mouthfeel, with vibrant red fruits in the cup.

My own conscious ideal has been to delude the reader into accepting an impossibility, or series of impossibilities, by means of a sort of verbal black magic, in the achievement of which I make use of prose-rhythm, metaphor, simile, tone-color, counter-point, and other stylistic resources, like a sort of incantation.
